RAS Fund: Mama Dean
An individual donation of $50 was sent forward to strengthen Mama Dean. The Ancient Matriarch received the strength and was grateful for the support.
From Mama Dean,
My name is Everdene Reid also known as ‘Dawta Dean’ or ‘Mama Dean’ within the Nyah Binghi House; my baptized Ethiopian Orthodox name is Finote Silase; my father is Rastaman.
In the year 1969, Holy Thursday I made my decision to become Rastafari, on Wednesday night I told all my friends of my decision because I did not want to face another Good Friday in Babylon.
My elder and teachers were Bongo Steel, Bongo Priest, Bongo Iyah and Bongo Hill.
I attend the Nyah Binghi which was also called “Groundation” at Bongo Daniel’s Tabernacle that was closer to my home in Trelawney. I cannot remember the exact date when the changes were made from Groundation to Nyah Binghi.
The Ancients have declared that Emperor Haile Selassie I is the head of the Nyah Binghi, and InI give praises to him in whatever form of worship that they do. The Nyah Binghi is both a patriarchal and matriarchal order in which chosen sistren can play their part in the administration and otherwise. The sistren are always conscious of their duties in the house of the Most High Jah Rastafari.
The ophthalmologist diagnosed that I have ‘Fuzzy eyes” and require treatment for the condition
I also have missing teeth and now teeth unable to chew my food properly as such I need dentures I am presently unemployed and having challenges with food and nutrition
I will be happy to be assisted with the above mentioned.
